The Journey of Healthy Living and Sports
In a beautiful and lush green area, two good friends named Khalid and Abdullah lived. Their friendship was very deep, but their preferences and habits were completely different from each other.
Khalid was a boy who was very fond of sports and physical activities. Every evening, he would head to the field for cricket, football, and running. This habit kept him fresh, active, and agile.
In contrast, Abdullah had no interest in going outside to play. He would sit in his room all day and play video games on his mobile phone or computer for hours. The digital world appealed to him so much that he had practically nothing to do with fresh air and sunlight outside.
Khalid often invited Abdullah to come along with him to the field. He would say, "Abdullah! Come on, let's play football with me. Running in the field keeps the body healthy and sharpens the mind."
However, Abdullah would make some excuse every time and refuse, saying, "Oh Khalid! Who wants to sweat out in the sun? I have so much fun with mobile games, and my time passes enjoyably."
Khalid would stay quiet upon hearing this, but as time passed, Abdullah's bad habit began to take a toll on his health.
A few months passed like this until sudden changes began to occur in Abdullah's health. Without doing any hard work, he started experiencing severe fatigue. Upon waking up in the morning, he would feel dizzy, and his body felt lazy and weak. Even his interest in studies faded away; whenever he opened a book, his head would start aching within a few minutes, and he would lose focus. He remained quite worried because of these issues.
Finally, one day Abdullah gathered his courage and shared all these troubles with Khalid.
Khalid, who cared deeply about his health and was aware of fitness principles, listened to his friend very carefully. After understanding the whole situation, Khalid lovingly explained to Abdullah, "Abdullah! The root cause of all your illnesses and fatigue is your sitting in one place all day and using only the screen. Due to a lack of physical sports, your blood circulation has slowed down, and your muscles are weakening."
Khalid further explained, "Physical sports are not just entertainment; they make our bodies strong, provide oxygen to the brain, and also increase our ability to concentrate on studies."
Abdullah found Khalid's words to be completely right. He decided that he would now change this habit.
Starting the next day, Abdullah began going to the field with Khalid. Initially, running and playing were a bit difficult for him because his body was not used to it, but Khalid encouraged him greatly and supported him along the way.
As days passed, Abdullah's efforts began to bear fruit. Due to daily physical exercise, fresh air, and sports, his complaints of fatigue and dizziness started to decrease. Within a few weeks, he felt much stronger, more active, and healthier than before. Now, his concentration in studies had also improved, and all his worries had disappeared for good.
Abdullah realized his mistake and understood how essential balance is in life.
It is very important to maintain a balance among all activities in life. Along with digital games or studies, physical sports are equally important; otherwise, carelessness can severely harm our growth and health.
Talk about it together
- Why did Abdullah start feeling tired and dizzy, even though he wasn't working hard?
- How did Khalid help his friend, instead of just telling him he was wrong?
- How much time do you spend on screens and how much playing outside? What could a good balance look like for you?
